For my latest HARMONY. do. good. stitches. queen bee month, I chose the Simply Woven block from Moda Bakeshop. I had a friend that had made this quilt at a retreat with the Chickopee line and it came together so quickly. I try to be nice with the blocks I give, well sometimes… and I thought this would be a good one to do with tons of different fabrics too.
I chose to go with red, orange, and yellow as my color scheme that way either a boy or a girl can use it. After a mishap with the postal service and my sweet bee mate remaking her blocks, I have now got a finished top that I am planning on quilting this next week.
I have no idea what I am going to use for the back. I might need to make a goodwill trip and get some sheet to stock up on for backs, I have several quilt tops that need to be quilted and now that I am slowly but surely getting over my machine quilting phobia I think I should tackle them and finish them up. But I need some backing fabric!
I\’ll keep you updated on this one, I think I\’m going to do something like this since it has a very linear design that I can follow and learn this deisng with.
I\’ve never done that one before but have been eyeing it so we will see how it turns out! Thanks for visiting!
Your top turned out great! This is the perfect block for a bee. I wish I had thought of it. 😉
