So I\’m glad to be back in the swing of things sewing. Things have been sparse for the last couple of weeks so this WIP Wednesday hiatus was probably a good thing. 🙂
This is the beginnings of a quilt I\’m making from thrifted men\’s dress shirts. I\’m still playing around with how big I want the sashing and if I want to hand quilt it or not. Wouldn\’t that grey and blue look so good against that white sashing in pearl cotton?!
3×6 bee blocks, just need to get a little something something to send along with the packages and they will be on their way this week.
Chain Link block from \”Link to the 30\’s\” book. I am doing it in red, grey, and light green Henna Garden with a white on white background. I am chain piecing everything so I\’m about 1/2 done with all the blocks.
My secret project for a friend\’s birthday. I bought these fabrics at the Houston Quilt Festival and they are from Africa and hand printed. Can\’t share too much else because he follow my blog…
Finally, the Echino print is the inspiration for a wall hanging for my best friend\’s living room. Not sure exactly what I want to do but she said she wants this color palette. Maybe I need to spend some more time just staring at it and see what comes to me.
Beejeebers: a wonky tree or wonky house block (since I\’m doing a tree for the other one I think I might do a house block for this one.
Name Game Swap: Blogger\’s make mini\’s with their partner\’s name or blog name! How cool! I tried to start the Sew. Happy. Quilt QAL but the first two block are too simple and if I\’m going to do another sampler I want every block to tell it\’s own stry not just blend in. So I might substitute my own in there oor just not do it, still deciding. Thanks to Lee for hosting W.I.P. Wednesday!
